The Darkest Part of the Woods

I need some help. I'm currently buried under a metric fuckton of university assignments. Unfortunately I also have a quiz on Ramsey Campbell's The Darkest Part of the Woods. Not a very intensive quiz as it'll only cover narrative points and not themes, but the problem is that I don't have the time to read the book and I can't find a synopsis of the plot online. I was wondering if you fine people would be kind enough to help me out by either posting a quick synopsis or directing me to one.

Doesn't have time to read a 400-page book.

I have to read a novel a week for that course, then there's my 4 other courses which each have a bunch of readings, and this particular book (the only one I haven't had time to read so far) has fallen on a week where I have multiple assignments and tests due that come before the book.

I'm in third year and can handle university. I just need a little help this one time.
