Should I read The Chronicles of Narnia in the order in which they were written and published or their apparent chronological order? I'm thinking about the former because I hate that shit otherwise, but does it even matter?

I think you shouldn't read them at all.

The former, I guess. Why do you hate reading in apparent chronological order?

they are all seperate stories, except for prince caspian and the lion, the witch, and the wardrobe, they have the same characters
magician's nephew is my favorite, deals with the creation of narnia
Meh, I thought they were okay when I read them as a kid. Being the ignorant heathen that I was, though, most of the religious notes were lost on me. Now that I'm an educated heathen adult, maybe I'll read them some weekend.
