Let the Right One In

Quite possibly the only good vampire book written in the last 10+ years.  The stories it tells are so real, so moving, with none of the melo-dramatic, over-sexualized bullshit you see and hear about in so much of vampire literature these days.  I can't get it off my mind, and I don't want to.

Has anyone else read the book?  If so, what'd you think of it?  If not, go out and buy it, read it, and then tell me what you think.

I just found out in this thread that the movie was based on a book. I watched it on Netflix last night because it seemed interesting. Now I have something to go buy and look forward to.

Oh, and they are making an American one? Why? The Swedish one was alright.
