I want to guess the plot (haven't read it, but I'm certain I'm going to get this right):
Robert Langdon goes on a bullshit journey to solve a mystery of some secret organization. It turns out that the person he trusted was the person who set the whole conspiracy into motion and the answers to his questions are in effect, rendered moot.
Also, he has a tryst with some woman who happens to be tied in with the whole conspiracy (her benefactor was killed and she is now a target of the conspirator).
Also, Dan Brown gets more of his "facts" completely wrong.

I dont get the hate, I like all of his books. He gets a lot of facts wrong but that does not stop them being good reads.

Maybe it is because he is a bad writer and you like bad writing.

Dan Brown is a fucking hack. He writes like one of those terrible old penny thriller westerns. Fuck knows why he's so popular.
I suppose It doesn't take much mental power to get into his writing, which is why he's a best seller.

I read the Da Vinci Code and Angels and Demons. I liked both, and they felt a lot more action packed than the movies.
