Tried reading Murakami today. Whatever the fuck is this shit? I now see WHAT kind of people actually like him. People who not only lack intelligence to read real novels, but also lack imagination. What an ugly writer, and what a dull fucking audience he must have.

His prose is extremely boring, too. Holy fuck, it's so unnecessarily slow.

nowhere in your post did you mention not being attracted to men. Enjoy being a HOMO

Did you read in JAPANESE? NO? Then you can't complain about his prose.

What an ugly writer
Ugly writers are terrible. Nora Roberts, why do you put your picture on every book‽

Murakami rules, my favorite book of his: Piercing

You know, by reading a few pages of a book you can see the people who enjoy the author. Isn't reading magical?

Also, if you really think he is a terrible writer, you could give us some reasons you dislike him.

Awful material and slow prose. Ooooh I like a highschooler girl, but I date another, I wanted to plow her, but she said no and sucked my dick instead oooh but the other girl, she was different, she listened to List and some random shitty Amerikkkan pop, like a true pathetic casual who says they listen not only to their shitty awful pop but also CLASSSIKXORZORZ and then name something really out there like List, and pretend to casually like that. Fucking hell, it's like a story writen by a teenager, then edited (rather professionally, I admit) into a novel.

no you're sutpid for not realizing how different the English and Japanese languages are. you are dubm. and idoit.

Not any more different than any two languages. Japanese writing system is horrendous enough, but language itself is simpler than English, even.

Anyway, what the fuck are you, a weeaboo or an underage faggot, or something? You sure sound like one of the two.

This is very wrong. You know nothing about languages.
Japanese writing system is horrendous enough, but language itself is simpler than English, even.
This is very right, however.
Anyway, what the fuck are you, a weeaboo or an underage faggot, or something? You sure sound like one of the two.
Stop being such a baby

You're full of shit, translating Japanese prose into English is not any more difficult than translating Russian prose into English.

Name: Anonymous 2009-07-23 10:00

Whats being discussed right now?

I disagree, having some knowledge of both the Japanese and Russian languages, but of course reading Russian translations into English is stupid anyway

Name: Anonymous 2009-07-28 11:04

I'm confused.

Are we talking about Ryu Murakami or Haruki Murakami?

Name: Anonymous 2009-07-28 17:21

Haruki, obviously.

Name: Anonymous 2009-07-28 18:57
