I only read with one eye.

I make maximally efficient use of my eyes, and read different things with each eye. Step 2: learning Braille.

No! Those are for dummies who can't read.

You can read a book in half the time if you read the left page with your left eye, the right page with your right. It takes practice, but really pays off in the end!
