Do you like his stuff?
I love it even though it is so up its own ass that it come out the other side to seem unpretentious again. Ex. Rant.
How do you feel?

All of his books are the same. He also tries too hard to be edgy that it cuts into his storytelling more often then not. Although he is a nice guy in person and his readings can be fun, but I just wish he'd try to expand his writing a bit.

I loved Choke and Lullaby.
I liked Rant and Snuff.
Invisible Monsters, Survivor I found really forced.

His last two books (Snuff and Pygmy) are utter shit. Other works are pretty damn good and some of his books are just pure awesome (Rant, Haunted, Fight Club and Lullaby).

I bought Haunted and one night after reading it i left it on the bed and turn off the light.
The cover is a glow in the dark picture of a screaming ghost.

Invisible Monsters, Fight Club and Survivor are good "classic" Palahniuk. You can tell that now he's trying to do something different. With Rant and Pygmy, I think it worked. I don't think anyone was pretending that Snuff was anything more than an over-the-top porn comedy.

I thought of Haunted as three separate books: One was fantastic, one was alright and one was so godaweful that I wouldn't even publicly admit I'd read it.

I was disappointed with Pygmy.
Can't wait for Rant 2 and 3.
But how the fuck he will write two sequels to that? Will it be with same Buster Casey?
