Is there a website that will let me log the books I read, and will make recommendations for new books that I might enjoy? Kinda like last.fm, but for books instead of music.

You can put your whole library on here, and you will see who else has listed your books, and even what people have collections similar to yours.

You can also organize the books you save in several ways. Like viewing just the thumbnails of the covers instead of just a plain text list. Pretty good site.
