Right now I'm about half way through reading Stephen King's It. I like the characters but man he really drags it out and I'm having trouble figuring out how anybody can think it is scary.

Read one Stephen King, and you've read 'em all.

The one thing he does well is reminiscent 1950s childhood detail.

Stephen King is a book starter he just cant seem to finish them. He does great build up but the ends just dont seem right.

I don't think it's scary but I love some of the parts. For one you have a child psychopath that smothered his baby brother when he was five, suffocates animals in a old refrigerator, and jacks off his friend and offers him a blow job. Then later you have Beverly who is 11 or twelve getting banged banged by the six guys in their little groups. Nice.

Don't change these.
