I remember Fiest.  Wasn't he one of Zelazny's proteges?  How is he?  I happen not to care very much for Lindskold.  Brust is god tier.

he wrote a lot of books is all i can say (if ur asking on his wellbeing i have no info on that )if ur asking about his writing ability i find the characters lets say ...  unique

If you liked Feist, you might like the other mass fantasy masters. They're best read before the added years turn you off them.

David Eddings - Belgariad and Elenium
R. A. Salvatore - Dark Elf and Icewind Dale trilogies
Margaret Weis & Tracy Hickman - Dragonlance Chronicles & Legends, Death Gate cycle and Rose of the Prophet trilogy.

They of course have written more, but none up to par in my mind. And do read the Empire trilogy, even people who've disliked Feist have thought well of it.
