Sci Fi For Children Who Can't Read Good.

I'm not a man of broad vocabulary. I never really did well in English at high school [I left with an Intermediate 1]. However upon leaving high school I have begun to read more and more. However to regain my point; I'm not a great reader and was wonder what science fiction novels/novella etc would you recomend for a moderate reader such as myself? I've read the obvious citations such as Dune and Do Androids Dream Of Electric Sheep.

When I was at your level, OP, I read higher level books and had a dictionary with me to look things up. Now you can look things up with google, dictionary.com, and wikipedia. Just FYI.
