So are his books, specifically the Bas-Lag universe any good?

I've heard his intention was basically to give the finger to Tolkien rip-offs.

Only read Perdido so far, but really liked it. Give it a shot I say.

I had already ordered all three before I even made this thread so I was really just looking for reconfirmation on what I had already decided.

I have also only read Perdido. I say you made a good choice in buying all of them
