House of Leaves

Greetings, /book./

I'm currently reading House of Leaves, but it's getting pretty confusing. While I appreciate the whole Finnegan's Wake + Stephen King feel it has, it's sort of annoying after a while. I've heard it's good from quite a few people, but I'm skeptical. I'm still on the first 50 pages or so, since I keep putting it down to read other things. Does it get better, or is it simply overrated and not worth my time?

Its is one of the best books ever. stick with it.

Endure it. It gets loads better, and you're only on the first 50 pages, so you can't really judge it well yet.

Keep reading it gets better.

His other book Only Revolution is really good and less confusing.

It's not worth it. If you've ever read halfway decent horror before, skip it. Not creative, just long and obnoxious.

But IT IS though, is an interesting reading experience, so read it till the end, try to get the feel of the book, it may even touch you a bit. After you've read it, you'll feel a bit cheated but you'll also feel like you've made a good bargain. It's a weird book

It's really less than half as long as it looks once you consider all the blank pages, pages of nonsense and the appendices.
