Das Boot

Just got done reading Das Boot by Lothar-Gunther Buchheim. Y'know the one they made a movie out of. I thought it was really great. Some of it dragged in places but I think he probably wrote it like that on purpose to reflect how completely insane life aboard a sub could be. A pretty powerful anti-war message too.

Okay okay so the movie was pretty awesome and I cried a bit watching them fend off enemy fire in the high seas.
