Finished reading this fairly recently. Anyone willing to discuss it with me?
One thing I somewhat disliked is how Phoebus is entirely one-dimensional even though he's quite an important character. His shallowness was probably intentional though in order to make the contrast whenever his name is mentioned in the presence of the otherwise down-to-earth and selfless Esmeralda to be even more apparent.
