Fantay recommendations?

I'm looking for a good high fantasy book to read on the plane and in the hotel on my vacation.  I was thinking about something from the Runelords series.  Any suggestions?  Something I can finish in a week?

Wheel of Time series was a massive disappointment..
The author spends half the time describing clothes. Get back in the kitchen.
