My son is 22 and cannot read

"I have a friend whose son is 22 and can't read hardly at all. A long story on how he was passed over and not able to read.

Do you guys have any suggestions on how to help this young man learn how to read?

I home-schooled my kids but would you use the same type curriculum to teach an adult to read?

She needs help quickly as he needs to get a GED as soon as possible.

These must be some very stupid people in this thread. There have been people who cannot read that done well on quizzes and are pretty smart. I've read about this subject a lot. However all of the smart ones usually tend to go to Chatter school where they are willing to help them out with text. Also having somebody else take the test for you isn't cheating you retards. As long as the guy tells the person who is filling out the answers their answer and looks like the problem in their heads. It's their answer and not the person taking it for them.

I love how people on 4chan always love to think they know shit in this world when they do nothing but sit at their fucking computers all day and brag on how smart they are when they really aren't. I hate to bring /b/ into this, but please learn moar. There have been people who live successful lives without reading. Blind from birth people live successful lives without reading or learning braille. 4chan geniuses please just shut the fuck up.
