Can someone recommend me a good book?

Looking to get back into reading, since the cancer of /b/ has slowly been eating through my brain cells and i'm getting dumber by the day.  I've just finished watching Equilibrium, 28 weeks later, and Children of Men(the latter I thought was shit).  But I loved the premise of those movies.  Whether it was post-apocalyptic, pandemic crisis, dystopian future etc.

Can anyone recommend me a book along those lines.  I'm looking on amazon but the search function is lame.  I don't want to read non-fiction either :\.  I was looking at "The Road" but i'm undecided, seems kinda incest-homo, too much father son faggotry.

Try the Oblivion Society. I'm looking to pick that up too. Basically a zombie novel, but a really good one according to the reviews.

Nineteen Eighty-Four by George Orwell
A Canticle for Leibowitz by Walter M. Miller, Jr.
The Postman by David Brin
The Stand by Stephen King
Roadside Picnic by Arkady and Boris Strugatsky
I Am Legend by Richard Matheson
Snow Crash by Neal Stephenson
V for Vendetta by Alan Moore
Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? by Philip K. Dick

Nineteen Eighty-Four by George Orwell
Snow Crash by Neal Stephenson

I can recommend these two.

Also maybe Deus Irae by Philip K. Dick instead of Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep.

I've just bought The Stand for $5.  I'll keep this thread bookmarked and come back to it once I finish it.  Thanks for the suggestions guys.  (Bought Men are better thn women by Dick Masterson as well, looks hilarious)

Don't change these.
