The Chicago Field Museum happened to have an exhibition on mythical creatures, how some dinosaur bones were mistaken for a griffin, mammoth bones mistaken for a giant, stuff about the kraken and mermaids and stuff, how these creatures were dreamed up from misinterpreting real animals. I fucking raged at the end when there was a video with Paolini talking smugly about what dragons meant to him, with clips of Sapheria from that god awful movie.
