Most gruelling book you have read?

Something you were really struggling with but your willpower kept you reading.

I havent read a lot of bad books, but Forest Mage by Robin Hobb was pretty rough going.  Ill probably read the others anyway though, since I was dumb enough to buy all 3 in hardcover without reading it at all.
