harry potter and the goblet of fire price?

Name: Anonymous 2008-07-31 14:26

Hello, I do not frequently visit this area of the website, so I hope I'm not breaking any rules by asking about this

I am curious how much would a signed, first edition copy of "Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire" (the book in question is also from the first printing line, with the errors that meant the line was recalled) be sold for? I am in dire need of money, but if it is not as valuable as I would hope, then I will simply hold on to it to appreciate in value

thanks in advance

/book/ doesn't really get enough visitors to have the luxury of being dicks to everyone who may or may not be suspect.

You could use second-hand bookshop listings as a guideline perhaps? A quick perusal of Abebooks would say that the lowest price for an equivalent (non-corrected) book is at a thousand dollars. Of course, they might all be crazy, and who knows how fast these books move and what is the true demand, but eh, maybe it'll help you a bit.
