I read it. Fucked up, yep. What else to expect from a book based around the dilemma of whether a really bad person can be worth committing a murder, though?

Afterwards, you might wanna read Conan Doyle's short story on Karazazovi where, having read the novel, Holmes is analyzing the crime scene (and concludes that the most likely murderer actually could've been Alyosha), and Watson basically nerdrages, calls him a tasteless faggot whore and wishes him dead for that remark. Funny stuff.

When you're done, go read his "House of the Dead" ("Notes from the Dead House"), it's less fucked up and really is pretty incredible. You're going to feel like a mid 19th century Russian noble imprisoned for eight years while reading it; pretty impresive stuff. Semi-autobiographic, too (Tsar didn't like Dostoyevskii much, no).

Don't change these.
