ITT we compile a list of authors who, according to ourselves, stand out from the rest simply by their raw writing ability. The authors who could write a five thousand page novel on paint drying and we would just sit there and read it, mesmerized by every word.

For me it would be China Mieville, George R.R. Martin, and Neal Stephenson.

Bukowski is quite possibly the most overrated poet ever. All his poetry sounds like the drunken ramblings of a cranky old douche who hates everyone but himself. Coincidentally, it actually is that.
