So I just recently picked up a copy of "Robot Visions," a compilation of several of Asimov's short stories on his vision of robots. A couple of the stories I read at first weren't that good, in my opinion, but the rest like "Reason:" and "Evidence" were amazing. I'm really enjoying this stuff and it's safe to say I'm now a fan. Are there other fans of Asimov on here that could point me in the direction of similar, excellent reading or discuss some of the short stories I've read with me?

_Foundation_, and to a lesser extent _Foundation & Empire_ and _Foundation II_, are just about the best he's put out. Don't touch the rest of the series with a ten foot pole, though.

Also, if you can get them, Asimov would periodically recollect his essays in books. There are too many to count, but each is good. Don't go expecting fiction, or even science, though.

After the Foundation series, Asimov did end both the Foundation series and his Robot series with "Foundation and Earth". After reading all the Foundation books before this one, I was unable to resist getting this book too. But I thought I had to read his Robot series to fully appreciate this book, so I did just that.

Turns out his Robot books are good, but not fantastic. The first, "I, Robot" is a collection of short stories about robots. The  rest are really mystery novels with robots in them.

I thought the Robot series was amazing. I haven't read the Foundation series yet, except for the first few pages of the first book, and I love it.

Asimov is a really, REALLY deep thinker.

I recommend the Robot series, because, despite what >>3 said, the robots are an important part of the books, and most of the mysteries revolve around them.
The characters are amazing, etc.

Nine Tomorrows is a collection of 9 short stories, some of them are really amazing.
Asimov really shines in his short stories.

Don't change these.
