Kafka on the Shore

This is probably a stupid question but should I read anything by Franz Kafka before reading Kafka on the Shore by Haruki Murakami?

It doesn't really have anything to do with Franz Kafka. The main character is just named after him.

Ok thanks.

You should read The Trial anyway. Because it's pretty good.

It has to do with Kafka in that, like most of Murakami's work, it's heavily influenced by him. But no, you don't need to read Kafka to get it.

I think it should say, "no meat touching instead".

Don't change these.
