Hyperion books

I just picked up the two books for six dubloons. I'd heard lots of mixed things about them, but they sounded interesting all the same.

So tell me, /book/, was it a worthy investment or did I waste six dubloons?

I'm guessing you mean the SF series by Dan Simmons?

The first one is fucking awesome.
I think all the other ones are pretty good too. Other people would definitely disagree with me for various reasons. I did read them all when I was 15 so that may have something to do with my opinion.  

Yeah. I should've specified between the books series and the publishing company.
