The Shadow of the Wind by Carlos Ruiz Zafon is definitely one of the greatest novels I have ever read. Its is beautifully written, with a lot of action, not one of those books that you can skip chapters worth of descriptions.

I must cosign on the above statement. This is truly an amazing read. There is something magical about the way the author provokes you into staying in this world. I know that when it came to a close I was very disappointed to have to leave it.

Hell, I think I may need to read this again.

I didn't like the gratuitous gays sex. Also, how could the main character marry a man in Spain and then have a child with him (please no LOL SCIENCE arguments)?

Besides the unneeded gay sex scenes, I frankly couldn't stand Fermin's limp-wrist attitude. You know, I thought I'd get a fascinating mystery, but the book's author forgot it wasn't a   commentary on the oppression of sexual minorities. Seriously, get a grip.
