Just finished reading this amazing and life-altering gem over a bowl of steamed cabbage. Took a hot cabbage-shit square in the middle of this lovely book and immediately slammed it shut.

I think it was a feeble attempt to inject a moral "happy end" to a book that was otherwise about the fucked-upness of life. Well, maybe not feeble per-se, but I think it could have been done a lot better, unless the author was gunning for anticlimax, which he very well might have. It felt near the end that too many plot threads were being discarded without being properly addressed.
He should have pulled the plug on his Mom and boned the fake doctor in the next bed at least.

I hate this guy, I feel he's a hack author who peddles shameless shock literature to emos, but if you like him, try googling for some Brian Evenson stories.
