I thought it was supposed to close plotholes, not open up more. If there was a way to do a taboo all this time, why not put one on "dark lord" or "my lord" since the only people who say that are his followers?
And what was up with the ripped-from-fanfiction Snape/Lily crap? I feel embarassed just knowing I read these books.
I was calling the ending as "Dumbledore kills Snape". It would have been epic if he'd come back to life.

I thought he WAS going to come back, seeing how his sign is a phoenix and all.
And yeah, the way Voldemort died was pathetic. But not half as pathetic as that epilogue. I'm glad I read all the books in like 1 week, so that I wasn't waiting for a really long time to get disappointed like that.

So lame. I was really pissed.......The Great Dark Lord went out like a total punk, 1upped by some goofy teenager. A travesty!

A teenager who didn't even know anything useful, he just stood there and took the spell. And won that way. Fucking retarded.
Harry Potter, the series is not a very well written series and I personally dislike it. The entire series was an over hyped waste of time. I actually had seven other books lined up for reading. No offense to any fans.

I know that people rag on the whole series in general, but I quite enjoyed them - up to book 7. I don't know what happened, but everything fell apart in that book. It was godawful. And yet I have friends who claim it was 'the most amazing book ever'. Poor fools.

The later chapters, I've found, make ready and convenient asswipe. After all of it's pages make contact with my asshole I'll move on to Hitchhiker's Guide, hopefully scoring a first printing.
I have not read them, and have no judgement on their quality.

It was a good book, until the climax came around. Then it just sucked to death. Azkaban was the best book out of the series.

JK Copied the entire 7th book off Fanfic.net.

I usually hate shipping but this is one time I wish they'd gone with the "hero gets the girl" instead of making Ron an absolute jackass for 5 out of the 7 books and then he suddenly finds his ONE TWU WUV in his "friend" who he's been disrespectful and outright hostile to for most of their friendship.
Agreed on Azkaban. The problem with the last book I felt was not the climax but the pointlessly long and uneventful section taking up most of the book when they were camping and doing bugger all apart from having the ocasional childish arguement.

Its like Rowling got to the last book and realized she had built up this final battle to be this giant epic amazing thing, and that she was simply incapable of fulfilling that promise. In her defense, writing a battle between good and evil that would have fulfilled the build up in the first 6 books and didn't feel predictable would require an insane amount of talent while "deep" is something she really doesn't know much about.
The epilogue was straight out of a bad sitcom - "oh man it's the future and we're all married to the people we went to high school with wowie everybody is exactly the same except they have stupid children now"

>JK Copied the entire 6th and 7th books off Fanfic.net.
The books were enjoyable as long as they continued expanding upon Rowling's whimsical magical world and her list of interesting side characters. Hogwart's was her strongest character, and she pretty much killed it off in the 6th book.

HARRY POTTER ANYTHING IS OVERRATED AND SHIT. I CANT BELIEVE I EVER EVEN LIKED THAT SHIT. The Death Gate Cycle is a million times better.
