I read non-fiction and I have a gorgeous woman in my bed every night. What point were you trying to make?

Like what? All I can think of instantly would be sex, fapping and maybe listening to a good album. Everything else doesn't even come close. You can't get high whenever you feel like it, not while maintaining a job/real life. Drugs are probably even more expensive than books too, if you consume enough to get a comparable period of enjoyment - plus you can't magically get down from your trip on short notice. Also, books are mobile, but fucking in public sure is fun too, I suppose.
And don't even start on movies and games, 95% of which are total crap and the rest you play/watch once, then never again.
Why would you automatically assume that everyone finds reading fiction to be a lesser value form of entrtainment? I read fiction whenever I find some that piques my curiosity, it provides a good balance in life.
Reading a story and digesting it at your own pace can be much more rewarding than having it spoonfed to you in the form of a movie or game. To be quite honest, I will tend to take a well written novel over either any time of the day. Lately, I find both of those have been seriously lacking in value.
If you read solely for knowledge, you are blinding yourself from a whole other side of literature.

picking up writing styles perhaps? good thing for any type of writer to do. and the expansion of the imagination which can be applied in many different careers. but, you know, whatever. burn those books, hitler.
Audio Books are one of the few things that come to mind, and even then it's only based on the reader.
Side Note... Steven King has one of the worst voices ever made, never ever listen to the horror stories read by him. Remember when Decard faked his voice to sound weasly to the stripper? That's exactly what his voice is.
