What's confirmed is that Ginny's tits need slapped and buttered with a throbbing wand. At the end of the date she'd be dropped off in a backroads ditch with no feet.

Everybody Hurts: An Essential Guide to Emo Culture
by Leslie Simon and Trevor Kelley
Nonfiction

Is “emo” a musical genre, a fashion trend, or a state of mind?  For many, it’s not just a kind of music, but a personal style and a way of interacting with the world.  The new emo reference bible, Everybody Hurts: An Essential Guide to Emo Culture, takes an informative and entertaining look at the ins and outs of emo life.  It’s everything you wanted to know about emo but were afraid to ask.

Written by two “O.G. emophiliacs” who celebrate emo even as they gently mock it, Everybody Hurts covers everything from the history of emo to show and festival etiquette to “the art of taking the perfect MySpace picture.”  There are also sections devoted to emo idols, haircuts, books, films, magazines, and food, plus plenty of emo fashion do’s and don’ts: “do fasten your belt on the side” to celebrate “emo’s appreciation for asymmetry,” “do layer” because “nothing says emo like a cardigan over a hoodie over a tank top over a T-shirt,” “don’t put on a band’s T-shirt immediately after you buy it at the merch table,” and don’t “wear girls’ jeans if you don’t fit into girls’ jeans.”  The authors also provide tips for writing blogs, instant messaging, and using MySpace to stay in touch with show buddies.

Everybody Hurts may not be a book you’ll read in one sitting, but it is great reading, and it’s destined to become a staple in any emo music lover’s book collection (shelve it next to The Perks of Being a Wallflower).  Growing up can be hard if you’re emo, but this book will help you get it right-and maybe even laugh through your tears.

Don't change these.
