the dark abyss

i was looking to see if u guys have ever heard of the 1627 book "the dark abyss" its said to drive people who read it all the way through mad with dead and that no one ever knew who the author was... also said to be bound in human flesh (doubt it but that would rock)

any info on it or any sites will be much apriciated...
