Need new books to read

Hello, everybody.  I have always been a fan of science fiction, fantasy, and alternate history.  My favorite books tend to be books in these genres where a person or group of people from modern day end up in some other realm, like the 1632 series, or just stories where two or more realms collide like the newish Hell's Gate series.  I've run out of new books and can't find any more.  Do you have any suggestions?

Sorry, don't have any.

That's not really what I'm looking for.  I want something where the world in question is different than the modern world, thus the scifi and fantasy focus.

Why don't you grow the fuck up?  Science fiction is the international mark of the sheltered nerd.

Good idea!  I'll go read some Tom Clancy crap instead.  Or a heart-wrenching romantic novel.  Exciting.  I like escapism.  That doesn't make me a nerd, and it doesn't mean I'm sheltered, just as your ability to type a complete sentence doesn't mean you're worth my time.  Come back when you've acquired some redeeming social qualities.

Broadly speaking, alternative world or some sort of timewarp stories? Search up on Stephen Donaldson's Chronicles of Thomas Covenant the Unbeliever, Poul Anderson's Three Hearts and Three Lions, John Myers Myers's Silverlock, Tim Powers's Anubis Gates, Harry Turtledove's Videssos Cycle and Julian May's Saga of the Exiles and see if any of them catches your fancy. I recommend them all except Videssos, they're on my shelf but I've yet to get to them.

Not really what you described other then the sci-fi and part but Timeline was good also, made by the same guy who wrote Jurassic Park.
