Never again will I read Gaiman, nothing happened for like 400 pages. Hur Shadow goes to there does something cool, Hur he goes over there they talk about con men, OMG fascinating info about the Funeral and Morgue buisness, oh more cool talk from shadow. Oh no crazy irish guy kills himself. No plot. What was the point of those 400 pages?!?!?!? We know Shadow is cool and suprisingly able in odd situations, we know he met fun people in jail, and yes coin tricks are like the second coming. But I would of liked some you know plot. It's a bit too much to ask for though. And then at the end he did one the biggest bitch moves ever. he told us all this crap that could of happened over the last 400 pages but noooooooo he had to do it in 20 at the end.
Read some Sandman, just thought it wasn't my thing. But now im starting to think this guy just cant write. So many people told me this book was awesome. Sorry guys but one two cool concepts (yes i will admit concepts were cool) just don't make a book insta gold.

I've only read two books by Gaiman, the one you're ranting about, which I didn't like very much either, and Neverwhere, which I greatly enjoyed. So if we're at all along the same lines, you might want to try that.

Gaiman's sort of hit and miss with some people, if you read his short stories you'll see some that are pretty awesome and others that are pretty boring.

Read Mr. Punch, comic-wise.

I didn't care much for American Gods either. But Anansi Boys ( a indirect sequel) was 20 times better. Much more concenrated, better, plot, better sense of who people are.

Don't change these.
