House Of Leaves

just started reading it last night, holy shit.
rips off lots of ideas from various places, and the overall text formatting and design borders on pretense, but the story works.

reminds me quite a bit of Borges.

anyone else read this?

Is there a better version of this kind of a book?  Or would it be fine for someone that has never touched anything like it?
