He's a very good writer, isn't he.

Name: Anonymous 2007-02-05 12:25

IMO, he's just a decent writer. It's just that everybody used to talk about him, but there's no real genius in his books.

Name: Anonymous 2007-02-05 12:57

He's not a decent.

The writing is so bad I couldn't make it beyond the first five pages. I wrote that kind of shit when I was 13 (thankfully nobody ever read it except me).

Dan Brown is a shit writer with a supergenius agent.

Or a super-genious writer with a shitty agent?! Amirite? Huh?! Amirite????

Name: Anonymous 2007-02-05 14:13

All the replies thus far are shit.

Dan Brown isn't that great of a writer. His stories, in their entirety, are nothing special. His only claim to fame is the controversial matter he writes about. It's the onl thing that makes his stuff interesting, and without it, he's nothing.

You're shit. Shit.

I find Dan Brown's characters in The Da Vinci Code very believable because of the way he has conveyed an elaborate portrait of their inner selves while keeping an ingenious distance between them and the reader, thus reaching new levels and contributing to the overall enjoyability of his masterpiece. The book is full of captivating suspense and brain-teasing riddles which, frankly, mock the readers' mental abilities in every conceivable way. The Da Vinci Code will no doubt go down to history not for its tantalizing plot or ineffably genious characters, but for its simplicity that oozes with the most intricate complexity. I say, the literary world is not quite the same, thanks to Mr. Brown.

Well, maybe YOURS. Then again, by the sounds of it even Durka Bush would be mocking your intellect.

Dan Brown's books read like a fucking screenplay for a movie.

Dan Brown is neither a great nor awful writer; in other words, I find him rather average.  His books tend to have fairly forgettable but mildly interesting plots with dull, one-dimensional characters and sub par writing.  Still, while Brown writes quite simplistically, his writing is almost good when compared to that of other modern bestselling authors like Nicholas Sparks and Danielle Steel.

Dan Brown isn't an awful writer?

Oh man, I am never going near Nicholas Sparks or Danielle Steel if that's the case.

jesus god. dan brown is a fucking awful writer. his stories are decent, and his books would be worth buying if he could construct a single goddamn sentence that didn't make anyone with a good sense of grammar and structure's head explode.
