I just finished House of leaves.

What's the big deal?
It wasn't scary to me at all.
Nothing was explained by the end of the book.
Maybe this was intentional, but I think it's lazy and incomplete.
I've been told that the book is more affecting and profoundly scarier when you read it again, so I'll go through it once more to see what happens.
Feel free to explain what was really going on to me, if there is an explanation to tell.

Books suck sure there's an ebuild for books but it just get dropped to /opt, it's statically linked, and it's CLOSED SOURCE, which means that it is a BINARY package.

It depends on what you mean by explained.  A lot about the whole story makes sense, with Johnny, Zampano, Pelafina, and all that.  Nothing about the house was really supposed to be explained.  Also, "ftairs!" was scary as hell.

got a page # for the "ftairs!" bit your talking about specifically or do you just mean the entire sequence as they descend?
