I admit his poems are really hard to understand. Most of the times I don't get what the hell he wants to say, yet reading his stuff is fun, in a lsd trippy way. His finest work imo is the Marriage of Heaven and Hell.
According to that poem, he was a big Milton fanboy. Also, one could say he was "of the Devil's party and knowning it."

I find that there are a lot of religious allusions that some people won't understand unless they're fairly knowledgeable about the bible. As for being fun in an "lsd trippy way," that's probably because from the epilepsy. All in all, I didn't like Blake's stuff with some exceptions.
I liked Wordsworth and Coleridge a lot more than Blake.

Blake's Songs of Innocence and Songs of Experience is, IMO, his best stuff.
I recommend Shelley and Byron if you like Wordsworth and Coleridge.
