I read all literature with an open mind, but I open this book and can't get through this crap.  Blah blah blah blah...

That's because you're still a child.  Go away and come back when you've attained the age of majority.

Man, I first read this book before I even had any pubes. If you find it hard going, you have problems.

It's sap. What's so complicated?

I would prefer if the author used more narrative description to describe the various characters rather than relying on constant chatter between every character as if the work were a script for an hour long soap opera where dialogue is the only means to carry the story forward.  I find it hard to identify with each character aside from their given name and personality quirk, as little care is given to describe them.  And because each character acts superficial and pretentious, the "give me a break factor" is through the roof, though according to Austen fanatics this is all knowingly intentional and perhaps satirical.

Jesus, I hate when people say this shit, MAYBE, Jane Austen, wrote something really boring.

Honestly, the only person I know who likes this book, is this fat girl that lives near me, and always brags about how people tell her they want to buy her ugly artwork, yet never actually follow through and purchase anything.

PS: Not OP^

try reading emma or persuasion. the problem i have with austen's work is that i often get confused between names of minor roles especially as they are refered to as mr suchassuch or miss soandso often rather than memorable first names. but it seems to just be that it takes a bit of practice to get used to that style

Don't change these.
