This book is full of win.
I'm only at the second 'part' (1931, Belgium) but already I'm really anticipating how this is all going to tie together, and what the other 'parts' will be like. No spoilars please!
For the uninitiated: Cloud Atlas is a novel in six parts: The first in the Pacific in the 1850s, the second in Belgium in the 1930s, the third in California in the 1970s, the fourth in London in the 2000s, the fifth in Korea in the near future, and the sixth in post-apocalyptic Hawaii. The parts are split up and shuffled somewhat, and each part connects to the others in a variety of unique ways.
The fact that I'm 80 or so pages in and still have no fucking idea what the overall plot is just makes me love it more. I love books like this.
