House of Leaves

Anyone here read House of Leaves?

I just picked this book up and, it really creeps me out.  My eyes start watering even thinking about it.  I remember a friend’s roommate back in college a few years ago reading it, and it looked cool.  I hadn’t thought about it since, until yesterday I was thumbing through 1001 Books to Read Before You Die and saw it listed.  I just closed on a condo, essentially my first home, on Friday.  Last night I was in Barnes and Noble and made the impulse decision to get a copy.  Maybe I SHOULDN’T have gotten this book afterall…

From what I can tell, the horror doesn’t come from any haunting of the house.  It’s more of just the unknown.

It honestly makes me wonder if there are places where things don’t add up, like a house with dimensions that are impossible.  Like a programming glitch in the fabric of reality.  As strange as it sounds, I find such things much more possible than a tormented soul or a curse.

Yeah, I read House Of Leaves back in '03, still one of my favorites. It's insane how many hidden things Danielewski put in that book.
