Asian Books that deserve translation

What are some books, novels, or literature that you'd like to see brought to the US?  For example, there are several novels that have inspired manga or anime such as Vampire Hunter D.  What about important works that have not been brought over?  Or even just popular works of fiction, original or based on something else.

Mainly the classics. They're old and by famous (dead) poets.  There hasn't been much that isn't absolute money-grabbing bullshit lately.

The novels that the animes Crest of the stars and Battleflag of the stars are based on should well deserve a translation.
