Post-college anime groups

So high schools and even colleges/universities have anime groups, but what do you do post-graduation? Anything other than conventions? I've never seen an anime club outside of an academic institution.

The only thing that comes to mind is forming a circle with people you already know or conventions/offline meetings. Keeping in touch with people. Doesn't this kind of social thing apply to anything when you're out of school? That's the chance to make connections and network, or so I've been told.

Check local college groups, maybe.  One of the anime clubs at my school is probably more than a quarter graduates, and run by a couple graduates and some upperclassmen.  See if any of the clubs in your area mind non-students attending.

Are offline meetings even a thing here? People seem to avoid that kind of thing either due to living too far apart or just preferring not meeting others in person.

I don't know about around /a/.  Most meet-up threads get deleted.  I guess /a/ looks down on them, but I've actually met some cool people through /cgl/ who I've met at cons.  Last con I went to we got drunk together and had a pretty good time.

Don't change these.
