Nice digital work and coloring. I wonder how profitable is it for studios to work on video game cutscenes/openings.

wat

so only Trigger and Aniplex are funding?

>Space Dandy has full artistic freedom.

Oh man, is this going to be some kind of Ohira, Hisashi Mori type sakuga madness?

Also I think it depends on the episode director and the animation supervisor.

Looks like there's going to be another sakuga panel this Friday, hopefully it gets uploaded.

Bracing for disappointment

Name: Anonymous 2013-05-16 7:44

I wonder if KLK's lack of production committee is what Kameda was so excited about a few months ago regarding Trigger changing things for animators everywhere.

Name: Anonymous 2013-05-16 7:58

Looks like Trigger is very confident regarding their show's success to not have it being funded by a huge production commitee. That'd also be their end x)...

Name: Anonymous 2013-05-16 8:02

Hi people.

I'm currently a very young sakuga fan, and as I'm that young, I just want you to say how to spot out animators that've worked on this or that episode just by wathcing it.

Thanks!

Maybe by looking in details to lots of episodes, and being aware of who worked on that episode exaclty in order to try to define his/her animation style?

Name: Anonymous 2013-05-16 8:12

>>57
I mean by "being aware of who worked on that episode exaclty" to look to the animation staff on ANN for example.

Name: Anonymous 2013-05-16 8:17

To be fair, Aniplex is a huge production committee; most of the money for Aniplex productions comes from Aniplex. The lack of "production committee" just means that the concept came from Imaishi himself rather than, just to name an example, suits.

Storyboard, Unit director: Takuya Nonaka
Assistant director: Yuichi Itou
Animation director: Atsushi Osagawara

Key Animation: Nozomu Abe, Atsushi Ikariya, Ryouma Ebata, Mitsuru Obunai, Go Kimura, Masayuki Kunihiro, Masayuki Kouda (lol wat), Tomonori Sudou, Takayuki Mogi, Takuya Nonaka, Yuichi Itou, Atsushi Osagawara, Tetsuya Takeuchi, etc

Name: Anonymous 2013-05-16 8:41

That's a pretty big KA list for something so short and standard.

Name: Anonymous 2013-05-16 8:44

>>55
when their project is funded by themselves, the who staff will get paid double the usual rates.
Also they will have more time to animate.

This reminds me of an OP for a game I used to play.

Not really impressive given the people who worked on it, but it still has some good bits. I'm guessing Okiura did the smile at the end.

You shouldn't expect anything from it to begin with. Yuasa is just doing storyboard for a random episode of a random service anime.
