So basically Trigger gets to do this Anime Mirai thing twice. Good for them ^^

Name: Anonymous 2013-05-21 9:04

>>281
Doubt that.
Those who're in Anime Mirai aren't allowed to work on any other project for 6 months and the production of Anime Mirai will start around the time KLK is airing so don't expect something like LWA. This project is going to be more of Ordet+Liden than Trigger.

Imazaki power. It's still completely lacking in animation, but the difference is... pretty obvious.

It's not any of them; it's Purple Cow Studios.

The project I worked on with Koji Morimotoさん had it's premiere at the Cannes festival on sunday. Nice!

The animation part in Mitsuyo Miyazaki's short was directed by Morimotoさん。

Toaru Nozomu no Abe on August 28th.

Name: Anonymous 2013-05-22 12:36

>>295
If the HxH movie is anything like the series I wouldn't expect any sakuga.

Name: Anonymous 2013-05-22 13:21

>>297
TV series looks pretty good.

Name: Anonymous 2013-05-22 13:45

Only real sakuga allowed in this thread, poseurs that get excited over any little bit of movement pls go home.

It looks good in an average anime sense, but it has no sakuga. No standout animation.

I don't watch it, but I think some cuts here look really good.

Not sakugamad worthy, 5/10 wouldn't save.

Name: Anonymous 2013-05-22 15:05

>>301
I don't see any sakuga in there. Sure, it's better than average TV animation, but that by itself doesn't make exceptional. I agree it's not worthy of a sakuga video.

Name: Anonymous 2013-05-22 15:24

>>304
What are you talking about? There is sakuga in the video, it's just a matter of whether the sakuga in there is top notch or not.

Name: Anonymous 2013-05-22 16:11

>>305
I guess that comes down to one own's definition of sakuga. Let's just say there's no outstanding animation in that video, and you won't miss anything by not watching it.

Name: Anonymous 2013-05-22 16:52

>>297
HxH is probably the best animated long running anime that's airing at the moment.

Name: Anonymous 2013-05-22 17:01

>>307
When it comes to average quality, I agree. When it comes to actual sakuga (pieces of outstanding animation), I think it's rock bottom.

I don't know, man; there's a lot of long-running shows out there. Would you really say Hunter X Hunter has less outstanding animation than, say, Space Brothers?

Name: Anonymous 2013-05-22 19:30

>>310
HxH has no outstanding animation, as far as I'm concerned. The series' strong point is that the average animation is really solid for a long running show, with a pretty much complete lack of really ugly episodes. The downside to that is that the animation never goes beyond "pretty nice".
It's really not a sakuga show.

Name: Anonymous 2013-05-22 19:41

>>311

Sure, but I don't think most long running shows have stand-out animation. Naruto, One Piece and Precure do, but what else?

Name: Anonymous 2013-05-22 21:54

One Piece hasn't had stand-out animation in a very long time. Unless you count Naotoshi Shida as stand-out, which I don't.

Name: Anonymous 2013-05-22 22:41

Toei and Pierrot can occasionally have episodes with great animation in their shows, though normally they look mediocre to terrible. Otherwise I don't think there are many (any?) long-running shows with extraordinarily notable animation.

>>313
This is definitely standout animation:

One Piece looks pretty terrible with hardly any good animation.

Name: Anonymous 2013-05-23 1:07

HxH is not a sakuga show the same way that KyoAni is not sakuga

Name: Anonymous 2013-05-23 1:14

>>309
Modern Doraemon movies are well animated.
Check out Nobita and the New Steel Troops if you haven't.

Nobita and the Island of Miracles is not as great has Nobita's Dinosaurs or Steel Troops but it's still better than most anime films for kids out there.
