I'm enjoying this series so far but I'm a big fan of anything that Akira writes, he is a twisted genius with an eye for the unusual. I think most average anime fans will probably be lost with something like this. It's sad that so far it has gotten such a bad rep because of the studio that chose to adapt it, I'd advise anybody unsure to definitely give it the 3 episode test before writing it off as something generic.

Thanks for the blog.
I really enjoy this serie. I was happy to see SHAFT doing this, also the Japanese mythology's part is really good.

I like it and I think SHAFT is doing a great job.

You do realize that SHAFT is one of the best regarded studios out there?
You have just been blinded by /a/.

I really dont like it. Dropped it after 5 Episodes. I expected a SoL anime but I got some seriously twisted stuff.

Ironic how the only reason to watch this show is for the animation unless you have knowledge of Japanese mythology.

It's not so much SHAFT that's well regarded but Shinbo. I doubt anyone will forget about how badly they used to blow their deadlines. I also wouldn't credit Shinbo too much for Madoka, that's more of an Urobuchi work even if SHAFT does make frequent use of Inu Curry (since they provide the most striking visuals for the show) compared to other studios.

Just give me Kizumonogatari dammit.

>that's more of an Urobuchi work

that's factual wrong. Just read the different interviews and other articles.
