Aya Suzuki
"The way that I see it, though, if that somebody wants to work in Japan, then they’ll learn the language and do it. I see people do that."

Bahi JD
"You don't need to be in Japan nor speak japanese to work in the anime industry,
if you are skilled enough & worth it, they will break the communication barrier."

interesting, both of them gaijins, but with two different views.

Yoshinari for saving anime

Name: Anonymous 2013-01-17 11:33

>>51 fake Bahi quote.

Bahi said on anipages that speaking japanese is a great advantage and necessary to work in the industry.

He wasn't speaking japanese when he worked on Apollon but still.
stop that!

But I agree, he is kind of a rebel compared to Aya.

Well, Aya is born to Japanese parents, speaks the language and looks Japanese.

Bahi, while he's from Europe from Iranian(?) parents, he's learnt the language and communicates and networks with many people in Japan.

While Aya used her university degree and her work on the illusionist to get hired in Japan.
Bahi used a bunch of gif-animations and the internet networking to get hired.

While Aya is already 27 or something, Bahi is 21.

I think you can't compare them together, they are two completely different characters.

Awesome.

IIRC they get 3 experienced animators to do genga for this, right? Which ones do you guys think will appear?
I'm hoping for some Sushio and Amemiya.

Source?

Name: Anonymous 2013-01-17 13:48

Some excellent stuff in Vividred, especially the transformation sequences.

I found the source (Toshio Suzuki). Last paragraph. Anno wished to animate a zero fighter.

It'll be great to have Anno animating again. I hope the movie will feature hand-drawn mechanical animation.

Name: Anonymous 2013-01-17 14:55

wow anno back ?

I want itano go back too please

Name: Anonymous 2013-01-17 14:59

Miyazaki is working on kazetachinu since when ? please

If Anno is joining the team now , it's weird that the movie will be out this year...

Name: Anonymous 2013-01-17 15:21

>>68
We don't know when he joined. The movie will come out this summer.

But isn't working on key animation very close to release day the standard?

Another Vividred henshin sequence

What? Did you accidentally some words there because that's retarded.
All the Ghost in the Shell anime are adaptations of the original manga (plural), albeit very, very loose ones.

And about ARISE, rumor is that it's a film, not a TV series. Can anyone confirm this?

Name: Anonymous 2013-01-17 15:45

Something in me was hoping for Anno to work on kazetachinu glad that happened. His scenes in honneamise are incredible.

Name: Anonymous 2013-01-17 15:46

I'm impressed
Very well done
Remind me Otome + Nanoha

Want to give a try now

>>69
Oh ok , i didn't knew for KA , to me working on KA can take time since it's the most important thing for the quality of the animation. In between is more easy and just silly drawings for the most.

Name: Anonymous 2013-01-17 15:49

>>71
He got origin and original wrong. Lets leave it at that.

Name: Anonymous 2013-01-17 15:59

All the Vivid Red henshins are animated by Megumi Kouno so far.

Based Megumi.

Name: Anonymous 2013-01-17 16:03

So many animators on Vividred, I'm sort of tempted to pick it up again.

Name: Anonymous 2013-01-17 16:05

It's because Toho registered the website but according to someone on /a/ they are actually involved in some way in a lot of TV shows so it doesn't mean anything

Name: Anonymous 2013-01-17 16:08

It's a great looking show and it upsets purists who think good animators should stay away from stuff like that. Works for me!

Shame about the 3DCG though, it hurts even if it's better than Strike Witches.

Name: Anonymous 2013-01-17 16:14

Toho does noitaminA.

Just saying.

Name: Anonymous 2013-01-17 16:16

What's the expectation for Shinkai's new film? Other than fantastic art direction.
