Basically, there's more than one way to do things when it comes to  animation and you should learn to appreciate, if not enjoy, all of them. If the staff wants to deliver great acting and consistency with character designs or highly stylized and expressive drawings, they're all fine by me. I'm just glad Japanese animators are sticking with their hands.
