Really hoping the next two movies will top EoE, but judging by the lastest trailer it seems unlikely for 3.0. Beyond just animation, EoE seems to have much more interesting direction, layout, boarding, even better attention paid to color design, almost every cut is borderline iconic. Or maybe it's just nostalgia.

I hate SHAFT's overall production quality. However I do love some of their artistic qualities. Evidently the ones I see in Arakawa S2 and SoreMachi. Those are their best looking shows IMO.
So that's like... 1/10th of the show. And the rest is shit.
