But wouldn't 3.0 have a better budget? I'm also sure Anno would still have a good network of contacts for the animation.

Name: Anonymous 2012-10-17 9:11

The only way to know if to see the entire 3.0 (3.33 also)

Name: Anonymous 2012-10-17 9:12

Anyone here lucky enough to be able to watch it in japan?

Name: Anonymous 2012-10-17 9:12

Just like 1.0 and 2.0 did? I see no reason to believe they'll beat it this time around, even if the Iso rumours are true. EoE is a one time miracle.

Name: Anonymous 2012-10-17 9:15

EoE is legendary but it can be beaten
To me 2.22 was close , seriously. The Battle sequences in 2.22 was Outstanding.

>>641
We would assume so, but Anno has funded 1.0 and 2.0 out of his back pocket. Hopefully since the first two were massively popular, he's made enough for 3.0 to be made properly this time.

That piano scene in the trailer, is it rotoscoped?

Name: Anonymous 2012-10-17 9:28

>>647
took someone long enough to say it

Name: Anonymous 2012-10-17 9:47

>>638
that was a joke post, i'm sorry you took it bad.

Name: Anonymous 2012-10-17 9:59

>>641
I have no idea which would have a bigger budget but a thing about EoE is that it gathered many talented animators who were old enough to be experienced but young enough to want prove themselves on a film they knew would be remembered afterwards and that is something that's probably hard to repeat no matter what.

>>649
sorry, I just feel there's been more troll posts to skip over lately

Will Otomo ever produce a total new great movie like SteamBoy ?
That Budget was one of the greatest ever for an asian movie itsn't ?

Name: Anonymous 2012-10-17 10:38

>>651
He's currently working on a new Memories/Neo Tokyo so a new Akira/Steam Boy must be next...

Was Steam Boy a hit? Maybe his name can't bring that amount of cash again.

>>652
Awesome

For the Box office of steam boy , i can't tell
I think it was a success ?
Anyway the sells of dvd/blu ray should have helped it even if it was a flop

Another ridiculous chuuni battle in this Chuu2Koi episode, albeit much shorter. KyoAni keeps delivering.

Chu2 3 battle.

Haha, it's really funny of silly this is. Very nice effects.

>>655
Haha, that's great. Loving the fire effect.

Name: Anonymous 2012-10-17 13:21

I like the FX buuut...the action still isn't very exciting. I don't really mean to slam the show since the fights are really just jokes but I wish they were more dynamic

Name: Anonymous 2012-10-17 13:25

>>654
Dale Gribble was really hittin it there.

Name: Anonymous 2012-10-17 13:37

>KyoAni
>Flame effects

Wow... I never thought they'd do that again.

Name: Anonymous 2012-10-17 13:45

>>657
The one in the previous episode had great choreography, this one not so much it's really short and there's not much they could do with it.

Name: Anonymous 2012-10-17 13:45

>>654
KyoAni action anime when?

Name: Anonymous 2012-10-17 13:49

>>661
It's called Munto.

Your fundoshi is really starting to smell, also learn to quote.

Name: Anonymous 2012-10-17 13:57

Who are you talking to?

Name: Anonymous 2012-10-17 14:01

so have we really been invaded by some shaftfriend or is someone here just being paranoid?

Name: Anonymous 2012-10-17 14:02

>>664
You

Name: Anonymous 2012-10-17 14:09

>>665
Maybe just a newfriend.

Name: Anonymous 2012-10-17 14:13

Man there's some derpy looking stuff in that 3.0 trailer, disappointing.

Name: Anonymous 2012-10-17 14:19

>>665

it's probably homu homu or someone in the same league. either way they don't give a fuck on whichever side slides just so they can see people throw shit at each other. sadly... this ain't the imageboards with high amounts of retarded userbase.

Name: Anonymous 2012-10-17 14:20

>>668
Where? It looked normal to me.

Name: Anonymous 2012-10-17 14:23

Name: Anonymous 2012-10-17 14:23

I dont get it , Shaft is hated here or something ?

Name: Anonymous 2012-10-17 14:26

>>671
What's wrong?

>>672
I don't think so, or at least I don't. I'm more interested in the individuals that make anime as opposed to just judging shows by the studio name anyway.

Name: Anonymous 2012-10-17 14:28

>>673
What's wrong is that it looks worse than it did in the same cut back in August 2011.

Aside from that shitfest *monogatari series, they're usually good when it comes to making stylistic animation choices.

Name: Anonymous 2012-10-17 14:57

>>675
Don't you mean stylistic powerpoint choices?

Name: Anonymous 2012-10-17 14:59

>>655
Looks very nice.

Only 5 key animators credited for this episode, Shouko Ikeda was one of them.

Wonder who did that part.

Name: Anonymous 2012-10-17 14:59

Bakemono gave them that reputation didn't it?

Name: Anonymous 2012-10-17 15:03

omg shinbo powerpoints xddd http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NFGkl24c1L0

Seriously, the new retard who has found his way here. Just stop. The kind of shit you're trying to stir up is one of the reasons these threads even exist.

Name: Anonymous 2012-10-17 15:10

Yeah man those cuts by Tanaka sure prove Shaft is a competent animation studio!
